This is easily Simmons’ most well-researched, give-a-shit column each year. He does an especially good job with it here. I can’t say I disagree with any of his picks. And considering that I’ve unsuccessfully tried every way possible to trade for Kevin “Daggers” Durant* in NBA 2K10, I guess they’re on the same page.
*Two years ago, I had Durant on my video game team, and I dressed him up with lots of tattoos and headbands and stuff. Whenever I had points to improve him, I would add to the “competitiveness” attributes. My goal was to make him a Stephen Jackson-esque, dangerous player, so I nicknamed him Daggers. It was cute.
